MEET YOUR FAVOURITE STAR
Cuban native Osiel Gouneo, although still quite young, is already a celebrity of the international dance scene and is renowned for his jumping power and outstanding technique. Born in 1990 in Matanzas, Cuba, he began his training at the Cuban National Ballet School in Havana in 2005. In 2008 he joined the Cuban National Ballet, where he was appointed a principal dancer in 2011. Afterwards, Gouneo danced with the Norwegian National Ballet for three years. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, he joined the the Bayerisches Staatsballett (Bavarian State Ballet) as a principal dancer. He has performed on stages such as the Coliseum in London, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Lincoln Center in New York, the Paris Opera, and the National Theatre Japan in Tokyo. Besides his performances with the Bayerisches Staatsballett, Gouneo also guests as a principal dancer with the English National Ballet, the Royal Danish Ballet, and numerous dance festivals and galas.

Mr. Bocca danced with the Royal Ballet of London, Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Alla Scala of Milan, English National Ballet, Zarzuela Theatre of Madrid, Danish Royal Ballet of Denmark, Opera Ballet in Oslo, Stuttgart Ballet, Opera Ballet in Paris, Tokyo Ballet, National Ballet of Cuba, Ballet A national of the Municipal Theater of Santiago de Chile, Ballet Nuevo Mundo in Venezuela, Ballet Nacional de México, Ballet Nacional de El Cairo, he made an important tour with the Ballet Nacional de España under the direction of Maya Plisétskaya and Ballet of the Municipal Theater General San Martín, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For the opening of the Helsinki Opera House, Mr. Bocca was invited as a featured artist. It has also performed in Poland, the Philippines, Israel , United Arab Emirates , Greece and Japan, as well as at the most important summer festivals in Europe and at the International Ballet Festival in Havana, Cuba and Peralada Festival.
Yanela was born in Havana, Cuba. At 8 years old, she began training at the Havana National Ballet School. She performed at the Centre School of Ballet in London, and the Dance Festival of Cordoba, Mexico. Yanela then joined the National Ballet of Cuba in 2004, and after 5 years with the company was promoted to Principal Dancer. She joined QB in 2015 and is currently a Principal Artist with the company. She has dance the principal roles in ‘Theme and variations’ – Balanchine ‘Odile and Odette’ – Swan Lake, ‘Kitri’ – Don Quixote, ‘Giselle’ and ‘Queen of the Willis’ – Giselle, ‘Juliet’ , MacMillans’ Romeo and Juliet, ‘Aurora’ in Sleeping Beauty Jerome Robbin’s ‘In the Night’ Greg Horseman’s ‘La Bayadere’. Gold medal at the international ballet comp in Havana 2000. Silver Medal at the international ballet competition in Varna Bulgaria 2004. Gold medal and Best Artist award 2004, International ballet Comp Havana.
